Absolutely demonic. According to the Word of God, we absolutely do not talk to the Dead nor worship them. Without people reading their Bibles they will never know the real truth and continue to follow all these secular, worldly and New age practices created by depraved sinful man.

When I was a kid I had a picture with my dead grandma seated on a chair like she was alive,I don't know if that's a tradition on how they wake on the old days,.b4 burying because she is not in a coffin but seated on a chair.,
I can relate to some of these death photos. I used to be a "transporter" for funeral homes some years ago. One of my jobs to pick up the deceased sometimes from a private residence, ie at home where the deceased passed away. There was a large family that came out to see their grandmother/aunt one last time at a home I was sent to. The recently deceased was on a bed and the family was taking it in turns to sit on the bed next to her taking pictures/selfies.
I have taken some photos of our family before they were laid to rest. Some thought it was creepy, but I wanted to remember the last moment before we said our final goodbye. I love these old photos. They are really quite unique. Thank you for sharing.

I think this is neat. In my family we have pictures of dead family members. So this doesnt offend me. There was a coffin that was very gothic and pretty.

dont find any of them creepy, think they are really good, they were not bothered about death like we are today. they just got on with it, not made the fuss we do
Ghost photography was very popular in the late 1800's. There is even a famous one of Mary Todd Lincoln with the "ghost" of Abraham placing his hands on her shoulders. They were all exposed at the turn of the century. By the way, I am a firm believer in ghosts, my mother saw one as did other family members. ๐
Can anyone explain to me what is going on in the picture at 5:36 with the crazy uncle in the tree? The woman on the right in front of the tree – what is she holding in her hands, it looks like she is holding hands with somebody – but those 'hands' match with nobody! Or is it something else? Or am I just blind?
I remember being creeped out when a friend's sister (whose 7 month old son had died of SIDS) wanted to take a family photo (of her parents, her siblings, and her siblings' children), a d have her child's picture super-imposed into the group.
…and with that, the spirit photography was a big scam at the time and I guess in some ways still is to this day.

The desire for a remembrance of the beloved family member is understandable but, what I find interesting was how the family had a photographer in ready reach to take the photo! Distance and transport wasnโt always handy.
People back in the post civil war days were really that of low I.Q. I watched one where a father got his daughter pregnant..and he knew the wife was telling people what he was doing..so Christmas eve..took a family photo..daughter on one side wife on other..next day the father killed his whole family..by time relatives came to visit for Christmas they discovered the blood and carnage and called the cops..while daddy was washing the blood off he heard people at the house and shit himself..and THEY BURIED HIM NEXT TO THE FAMILY HE KILLED..ONLY ONE SURVIVED WAS THE OLDER SON CAUSE IT WAS RABBIT SEASON AND WAS BUYING BULLETS..THEN 3YRS LATER SON DIED IN A CAR ACCIDENT..TIMES WERE SO FUCKIN HARD BACK THEN..
Photography was very expensive then. Often, this is the only photo taken of a person. They just wanted a way to preserve the memory of that person.
