I heavily relate to this but as a teenage to adulthood, my parents think they know better than me when it comes to my decisions. I don't think my father believes in free will.

as a child myself my faith in children is being restored
I'm an Indian and my mother doesn't let me be free! Ugh! If I need to go to shop across street, I need to beg her. I can't even learn how to drive a car or ride a motorcycle! I don't even go to tourist attractions. The last time I went was 2yrs ago and that too for a pilgrimage. I barely go to shopping or other cities let alone hanging out with friends! My family is like some ancient era. More like should I say.. Because I am a girl, they did all this?
Yeah as a Southeast Asian, Children=warrior, they taught to be God of everything, can be smartass, can play musics, can do this, can do that, everyday is the competition, even their neighbors or cousin always gossiping bout their child like "my son got Harvard and he got a Lamborghini, what's your son's job?) that's why many childrens are taught so strict, even they have a depression at the young age
Many or almost every adult just don't use to listen to them and don't take their words seriously too there are many wise kids in this world that knows what's happening even about the problems that what we don't expect them to know about,they are better than some drugs taking adult

As a kid I just hate how parent always say OH I AM OLDER I HAVE MORE EXPERIENCE SO I AM RIGHT like I just hate how they always think their right but not even listening to the kids
My aunt is very strict and we kids are all afraid of her. She used to look after me since my mom's is always busy at work and always pressured me to study and I'm not even allowed to speak tagalog ( I'm fillipino btw ) so I can learn how to speak perfect English language.

The Chinese girl who has crying was telling the truth we send 6 hours in school and have low screen time there should be a balance between study and freedom even tho we have great results they still thinks it's a failure even tho the we get all A not a+ (sometimes) the children are being hit everyday in school or in home yesterday my best friend amlost cut his head but the head sir was mad at him for no reason
