I don’t think it’s fair to blame the parents bc to my knowledge model’s don’t know what they will be wearing till time of the shoot and I don’t think these companies want or even allow the parents at the shoots (could not be my child) but I have heard that this is standard practice so to get their kids foot in the door they do it. So would not be surprised if the parents have very little knowledge beforehand. What their child will be modeling. What really kills me though is that these companies have a WHOLE team of people creating, designing, and executing these products some of whom get paid large salaries but not one person ever realizes something was a bad idea until the public gives negative backlash. It’s like these ppl are so far off from reality that their moral compass is way off. Just crazy
