17K likes for this documentary by National Geographic? Or was it the National Enquirer that produced this trashy, gossip rag style documentary? Sorry, but at 26:41 I have seen enough. They haven't shown Queen Elizabeth reading the daily dispatches from her Red Box or meeting with government officials or presiding at endless public events, sponsoring charities, etc. How about her state visit to Ireland in May 2011? What made Elizabeth great was faithful dedication to her people and diligence in performing the duties of her office over seven decades.
She kept the vow she made on her 21st birthday, April 21, 1947. “I declare before you all that my whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.”
I expected much better than this take from National Geographic.
What exactly is the purpose of the royal's traveling around the world? What do they do? I've never understood why they go to other countries to wave at people. I don't get it.

American here. I would much rather have had Queen Elizabeth II rule over the USA than these presidents that we have had. Queen Elizabeth earned her respect and had more class than anyone in a position of power.

Who did it better than elizabeth? No one. People with all diana grudges ., i wasnt there but there is always 2 sides of story.. you shouldnt judge this woman and all she has done to make britain and all her countries better than many in the world.. she served till her last day.. she kept her promise.. she maintained peace in the world.. she was a mother.. a wife.. a daughter .. a sister .. a queen of 1/3 of the worlds population andshe controlled the situation for 70 yrs .. she gave up her dreams at 26.. come on people how ungrateful and unjust you are.. come to africa see what leaders do in just one term of 5 yrs., then you will appreciate of what a better world this mother did for all of you.. i love her just the person she was.. the most amazing and selfless woman of the century.. show me a perfect human before you judge her!
