It's late at night when I'm watching this Cassie reaction…. the movie starts… Robert Redford is playing cards (obv. poker… what else?!!) and she sweetly says… "Are they playing Blackjack??" Sorry! You should look into what the Sundances sister had to say. According to her Sundance survived Bolivia. After he passed away from old age she came forward.. interesting to dig into it.

Here in Fort Worth, we not only have a sculpture of the famous Wild Bunch photo, there was a hotel named after Etta. I don’t think it’s a hotel now, but it might still have the name.

This movie ironically started the sequel movement. How? Because the movie was SO popular BUT they killed off the characters and couldn't have a franchise. Really….
Great Westerns to consider now. "Silverado" which launched Kevin Costner's career. "Unforgiven" with Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman which won a best picture Oscar. "Appaloosa" with Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen. "Open Range" with Kevin Costner and Robert Duvall. For an older Western choice there are many but "Red River" with John Wayne and also "The Man Who Shot Liberty Vallence" with John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart and Lee Marvin. These films will make you a fan of Westerns.
I think you would like The Making of Butch Cassidy. It's on YouTube and about 30 or 35 minutes. I also think you would like another Redford movie Jeremiah Johnson. It was made in Utah and is one of my favorites.

The "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head" scene is one of my least favorite scenes in movie history. It's terrible and really out of place.
I watched the movie with a Priest who also speaks Spanish, and he explained the Spanish parts in the actual dialect. "Now we have the dough". Also he explained to me "keep watchkng" when their guide kept spitting chewing tobacco.

There is a 90s version of this classic, called "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man" (Mickey Rourke, Don Johnson). It's not at the same level but it's really fun to watch. It's a mix of typical 90s action movie + the outlaw atmosphere and the relationship of the two main characters. And the cool soundtrack of course. A 90's classic 😉

Butch and Sundance were not killed in Bolivia.
We have no idea what happened to Sundance but butch returned to the states and lived a secret life in Utah.
He was buried somewhere in Utah but the family is keeping a tight lip on this.
My grandpa had several stories about butch growing up in Richfield 😊
Redford's on screen girlfriend here played by Katherine Ross, married four times in a twenty year span, but the fifth guy did the trick as she wed Sam Elliot ,(tall silver haired guy with the deep voice and handlebar mustache from Tombstone and Big Lebowski), and they've been together for almost 40 yrs. Currently one of Hollywood's longest married couples.
I like it. If you had been around these cowboys woulda been chasing after you than loot. Jus sayin.
Now since you are becoming a western fan, you definitely shoul watch Clint Eastwoods "The Outlaw Josey Wales it has all the great things in it that make up a good western plus it was Clint's favorite western he wrote it starred in it and directed it. In my opinion it's better than The Unforgiven. Check it out you won't be disappointed.✌

LOL Cassie nice Halloweenish Factor opening. This is one of the best duos in movie history, Legends Paul Newman and Robert Redford. They have perfect chemistry; "I can't swim" while Paul busts out laughing. Nice reaction. I suggest Cool Hand Luke and All The President's Men for your patrons to vote on. Carly would love this movie. That posse reminds me of the Ringwraiths from Lord Of The Rings. Cassie, don't forget to try Paul Newman salad dressing lol.
