Absolutely loved your b&w work in the wedding film! The last wedding I did (around 2004) was with a pair of Nikon D2H bodies and [mostly] a Tokina 80-20mm f2.8 and Tokina 12-24mm f4 and I converted every image to monochrome. I was always upfront with the couple (and parents) that all of my images will be in b&w and, being mainly a news/documentary photographer, in a journalistic style. If they were not comfortable with that, I recommended other photographers that I thought would suit their vision.

Beautiful work and amazing video Kevin. Super eye opening. Was wondering, when shooting your “day in the life” shoots how do you make your subjects comfortable/ not camera shy? Have you ever encountered subjects who just can’t seem to ignore/ pretend the camera isn’t there?
I probably missed it as I am watching this while doing something else, but I was curious as to what kind of focal lengths you prefer using for the more "intimate" look your work has. I'm working on being less shy as a photographer with my 70-200 and being more "in" the action… meeting people, being more comfortable with them and have them be more comfortable with me so that I can take the candids.

A very inspiring video. As a dad I’m trying to focus on capturing memories of my family and your videos and website have been superb. Are your black and white and color images straight out of camera simulations or edits? Are they on your website? They’re just perfect.

this is perfect, as always, poetic and artistical. but how do you live and spend time with your loved ones – if you keep doing your (great) work. is photographing so rewarding? do you change roles – from dad/husband/friend to photographer – and back? and: don’t your kids get bored (or worse) being so often in the center of your pics? PS: these are real questions to me …
