In 2015, photographer Julia Fullerton-Batten conceived a powerful series of photographs that recreated cases of feral children who either survived in the wild or lived in total isolation. VICE traveled with the artist to meet the woman who served as the inspiration for the series.

Do I count?
I was raised by primates in the wilderness. Granted those primates were my biological human parents and it wasn't the jungle but the forest… mom calls me a wild child. If you're ever seen Captain Fantastic you get the gist of my childhood.
She looks like a model.
You know what I find the most compelling here is it wild animals wild animals are willing to take care of lost children that are majority of human beings.

You could find stories of Feral Children in any inner city slum, with high instances of drug addiction. Those kids have it worse then the ones being raised by animals.

This had so much potential and yet Vice cuts it to a 5 minutes 11 seconds of a woman that claims to have survived in the jungle by her self as a child and we only get one picture? Damn this should have been at least a 1 hour documentary.
