Four children have been found alive, 40 days after the plane they were travelling in crashed in the Colombian rainforest.
The single-engine plane they were flying in crashed into the jungle in the southern Caqueta province of the Amazonas region on May 1.
People in Colombia are calling their survival “a miracle”.

Unbelievable. That they kept the baby alive. Truly amazing. Very sorry they had to see their mother die and the others.
Now the United States and other European countries would rush to make a movie about rhis and would make billions of dollars even though they didn't offer any help at the time of the searching and rescuing those God protected kids.
These four kids took care of their 1 year old sibling and showed perseverance and bravery. My life annoyance seem so trivial now.
Incredible, the story of the survival of these four children aged 13, 9, 4 and 11 months for 40 days in the Amazon jungle is a miracle. It reflects the family's power in teaching survival skills and coping strategies. No doubt, the 13-year-year-old sister and probably the 9-year-old must have played a crucial role in the survival of their 11 months old infant and 4-year kid. The tragic loss of their mother in the plane crash couldn't deter them from adjusting fast to survive in a desolate forest jungle with no one to offer any assistance. This experience will change our perspective of child survival strategies and the crucial role family could play in the survival of the human race. Kudos to the Columbia government for making the sustained effort to search the forest. Again, All praise to Almighty Allah, the one that giveth and takes life for sparing the life of these lovely children.

A year ago it was the same story of 2 kids in the Amazon. 4 yesrs ago a kid was lost 49 days in the open ocean. Anyone who thinks this is real is an utter moron.

I want to read the survival books these children will write in future with a ghost writer. So they survived 40 days with a 1 year old and a 4 year old? Wow amazing 13 year old and 9 year old looking after their baby brothers or sisters. The fact that they survived 40 days in the foreat is a testament of their beautiful tribal background. The 13 years old probably knew good fruits from poisonous ones and i wonder if they found water or if he killed small animals and cooked on fire that he probably knows how to star or did they just survive on fruits and maybe found aloe vera to drink from and get nutrients for baby because even the 1 year old baby is well and alive. Please AL JAZEERA cover this story and do paid interviews with the grandparents and ask how did they train these children who lived in a city but due to their tribe they have helped these children to survive. Did the grandparents take the older kids to the amazon forest? Amazing survival. These are real survivors.❤
