I can understand a situation where her boyfriend in highschool was not the father and out of sheer naivete is covering for the dominant figure. Thats why she denied putting her boyfriend on the birth certificate and thats why she couldnt tell her mom or peers. The school went on believing that it was hers and her boyfriend and she was good with that narrative. Only a situation where the father of the baby is the step dad would it make me understand why she kept the secret from her mom to the end. Eventually the truth will come out. Regardless like you said stupidity isnt an excuse. She was 19 years old. She locked the door when there was medical professionals trying to help outside. The mother also said that she was beat when she carried Alexee its possible that was the precedent leading up to the murder. She could actually be physiologically stunted if in the womb her head was damaged. I hope the truth about this comes out unfortunately its gonna take years for Alexee to understand what happened and what she did. Just my opinions that shed a compassionate light on Alexee.

I feel so sad for this girl. She must have been so very traumatized by the entire pregnancy, the birth alone and having a living being coming out of her. It’s all so sad! I’m sure it’s all about abuse! Poor little baby! May it rest in heaven! I’m sure it does!

This makes no sense because the girl said she thought the baby was dead so she threw him away or maybe she wanted him out of the way and took his Life. At that age you should know the difference between right and wrong.

As a 15 year old I got pregnant by an older guy he was 20 who r worded me i didn’t tell my parents till I was in school throwing up and couldn’t hide it because my parents raised me to be honest so I said I had seggs and now I’m preggo, I had to get an abortion, yeah it was the most horrible experience because the doctor who did it was horrible to me, when I saw the baby in the monitor I was like omg no wait stop maybe if my mom sees she might be in board with keeping the baby and my dad too ! And then the doctor said “was your mom there when u had seggs ? I stayed quiet because no one knew I got r worded so the doctor the said “didn’t think so now lay back down and count down from 10”
I cried and did so, it was horrible. My parents learned the truth later on maybe a year later.
They felt terrible, but listen what I’m saying is. I felt guilty that I was even in a situation where a 20 year old man was always trying to pick me up from school and the girls in school knew him and they all wanted him. He drugged me and did what he did he even said I love you it was disgusting.
But I knew being pregnant at my age was wrong I knew not telling my parents what was wrong with me the fact that someone took my virginity from me without my permission or consent mind u I always said I wanted to remain a virgin till I found my husband in the super long future lol because I was in the track team and I was trying for the Olympics by then, ( relay ) was the fastest in every school I’ve ever been to. Anyway I knew right from wrong I knew abortion felt wrong the guilt was killing me and now I felt less than, because since I was a virgin I wanted to stay one I sort of felt clean and untouched like a star ⭐️ and I was going places. Two years later I got raped again by two guys but they beat me up I ended up escaping because I knew they were gonna continue taking turns, but I never filed a police report because I got threats saying if you turn them in you your family your dogs will suffer the consequences and your bestie too!! So I didn’t wanna put my family in danger and I kept quiet.
I also got r worded by my daughters uncle. No he never met my daughter I was with her dad one day and he drugged me I’m thinking he’s an amazing guy and he drugged me and my bf at the time left for something and his brother graped me. So look rn I’m so traumatized I can’t even leave my house I’m just not okay I can’t function.
My point is I always knew right from wrong even younger than Alexee. She’s not innocent in this and neither is the momma and whoever the baby daddy is.
Did a deep dive. There’s some misinformation about the situation out there but, it is very messy. All in all, she didn’t just toss him into the can, she twisted it tight and wrapped the long end around and laid the baby in the bottom of the can, put trash on top then a fresh bag on top of that, with a little more trash. She hid him. 😢
And this is why it is very important for women to have the right and freedom to have an abortion and even more importantly, for young people to have a very well-versed and adequate sex education, or else things like this will happen and be on the rise! And the fact that this is coming from a 20-year-old just says how entirely fucked America is with teaching sex-ed at home or in schools 🤦♀️🤦♀️

I gotta say her mom must hold some responsibility. One has to be a specific type of abused to be so terrified of their mother discovering their pregnancy that they’d rather hide their baby in a trash can than come clean…. What was she so scared of happening if she came clean to her mom??? What would her mother do in response?? Probably a super reactive parent brought up in purity culture who only knows how to parent by shaming their child when they behave in a way that doesn’t match their expectations. Also. – her mom knew she was pregnant. The security video from the hospital confirms it. When the doctor tells them they found the baby in the trash can – her moms immediate response was “Lexi! I told you about this!” In a very “you should have known better,” scolding tone. They spoke about it before and her mom did little to nothing to help her when she needed it – what else would she be responding to with those words??? Strange choice of words.
I got the feeling from the first time I saw the footage that she was in an outright state of terror and panic and just scared out of her mind. Her mother has brow-beat her to the point that she literally couldn’t bring herself to say she was pregnant, even as the baby was crowning. That’s not a normal level of embarrassment/shame or fear. That’s someone that’s been chronically emotionally and mentally abused and conditioned. So sad all the way around.
I watched the video recently, she kept saying “nothing was crying” it is just sad.

She meant to kill the baby. She put the baby in the bag, tied the bag, and placed the tie on the underside of the baby so that no squirms or wiggles would get that baby out. If she just meant for someone to find it, she would have at least left the bag open or poked some holes in it. Autopsy showed baby was alive then killed by entrapment.

No she put the baby in a separate trash bag so he had no air to breath and then put a new trash bag in the bin so the baby was hidden She killed that baby. And the janitor found the baby not a nurse.
The mom said that she didn’t know her daughter was pregnant…with the bump and everything! AND her calm reaction when a doctor said we found a dead baby…she’s like oh I’m so sorry…not what in the world? I feel like the stepdad probably sexually abused her. When you watch the video of the family at the hospital, the stepdad was the only one that was “sad” about the baby. Hi, licensed mental health professional here! Post Partum psychosis is a very real yet severely overlooked illness. It is also known in some cases to occur immediately after giving birth. Many are assuming that she was in her right mind at the time. Plus, there is a possibility that this girl could have been SA/raped by a family member, which unfortunately is a VERY common phenomenon (in over 85% of rape cases worldwide, it is perpetuated by someone the victim personally knows, like a family member, ex, friend, or friend of the family, NOT by a stranger). This definitely DOES NOT EXCUSE what she has done, but this case isn't particularly as black and white as people are making it out to be. There are lots of potential mitigating factors. Not to mention the girl's age and the fact that the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus (the brain's primary areas responsible for decision-making processes) are not fully developed until age 25. Add that with cognitive impairment/intellectual disability and abuse, and you've got the perfect storm. It is absolutely devastating, but not unheard of
I’m surprised that no one is mentioning the laws that come into play. This girl most likely wouldn’t have had access to an ab**tíon in her state and likely didn’t have the funds or means to travel to another state to do so. This girl is still a baby herself yes at 18 you are definitely still a kid. She probably didn’t even know about safe haven laws and likely didn’t have access or ability to make her own decisions for herself and her body. It’s sad but I wouldn’t be surprised if we see more cases like this and I 1000% believe it’s because of the laws

The staff called the sanitation worker to clean up bathroom mees, she was the one who discovered the baby in the trash. She can tell that trash had more weight than usual, & looked at the bottom to find a horrible discovery 😢
Mother's have been letting their boyfriends/husbands rape their daughters since the dawn of time so that they don't get the abuse. Often these same women won't have real talks with their daughters about the realities of womanhood. I don't know if that's the situation here but I wouldn't be surprised in the least. Add religion into the mix and it's nothing but disaster for everyone.
