Have Palestinians & Israelis Ever Tried to Make Peace?

Have Palestinians & Israelis Ever Tried to Make Peace?

After years at war, Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) sought out a change of pace. In January 1993, the Israelis and the Palestinians opened secret negotiations on neutral ground in Oslo, Norway.

In September of 1993, a series of peace agreements called the Oslo Accords were signed by Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and PLO leader Yasser Arafat. However, within eight months, terror reigned down on Israel once again.

A new agreement called Oslo Two was signed in an attempt to re-establish peace. Many Israelis and Palestinians were hopeful about the new agreement, yet the haunting events that followed still impact the Israeli-Palestinian peace process today.

Peace will never happen. The Arabs want all of the land and the West Bank where they reside is primarily ancient Judah and Samaria.

The "palestinians" are not from Palestine, and their leader was an Egyptian. Giving up more land to them, will not bring peace, maybe hudna, but never peace. Oslo was a serious mistake. Those, who negotiated with the terrorists, broke the law, and should have been convicted, not celebrated.

In 2022, the United States gave Israel 3.8 billion dollars. Israel will run a budget surplus worth more than 4.3 billion dollars for 2022.

This means Israel could have gone without American aid and still ran a budget surplus of half a billion dollars.

Half a billion dollars is a huge budget surplus for a country with a population of less than 10 million people.

The Palestinians are just families who came from Arab countries (Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon…) when Britain has controlled the country, there was never such thing Palestinian people and they never controlled “Palestina” – a name that the Romans gave to the country so enough with all the nonesense that we conquered them

This video is utter bullshit, the Palestinian people are a people invented by the Israeli left and refugees after their defeat in the Six Day War when the IDF liberated part of the homeland of our ancestors. I hope that soon we will also liberate the other part of the homeland. Two banks of the Jordan is ours

Looking at the conflict linearly, chronologically, is a mistake. It seems tempting, but it always starts with the premise that we got to where we are today based on all the prior things—and that isn’t quite true. Depending on when you start counting, most of the people pictured in this video are dead. Sworn enemies? Not really…just born in different places to different peoples. Peace has never been a goal with a vision in sight, it has been a concept, a moving target, and I think that is the hardest things for foreigners/especially Americans, to grasp. Sometimes there is not a solution—and this creates real scenarios that require super human powers to achieve. For example, the land is so small, that even if Israel unilaterally decided to withdraw from the entire West Bank, it couldn’t physically do it—the airspace requires Israeli commercial plans to fly over the West Bank just to make a turn around descent into Tel Aviv, and there is no way to defend the country when it is only a few miles wide. Also, where are the Palestinians supposed to do international trade from? Israel wouldn’t allow constant transit of freight across its borders, nor Palestinian airlines to fly over (if you build an airport) the state for a long long time due to security concerns…so you are talking about across the empty valleys and mountains of Jordan to move products to Europe and Asia? Because Jordan has been soo friendly to the Palestinians and makes so many products itself… I am just saying that the complexities are so vast, and come from sources that have nothing to do with the peoples themselves (h/t to the British who created a silly arrangement that made both proposals for the state and Jerusalem just plain nutty). So until a lot of the practical questions have answers, the aspirational goals have to take a back seat. We can be inspired by them, but let’s not be discouraged by their shortcomings either. If people really really wanted to “solve the conflict,” then yeah it would take hundreds of billions of investment to make everyone happy. That is possible but a level of real Politik no one is quite willing to gamble on the Palestinians and the Israelis are not willing to spend/don’t have the political support/time between governments to commit to. The best hope is that the Abraham Accord states exert not just pressure, but economic incentives that create more opportunities for collaboration between Israelis and Palestinians—then, there exist possibilities for small parts of the puzzle to be solved. It won’t be solved at once, accept that, but celebrate the little wins. For example, social media and the World Cup allowed for youth interaction and flights directly to Qatar. This created a lot of tension, but it proved that we share the same world. It also showed that Palestinians can safely use Israels airport—diffusing a lot of tension on the Israeli side. So hey some trust in bits despite the violence can go far in quality of life.

For 20 or so years, no serious peace negotiations were held, both sides are to blame.
People don't realize that to make peace requires to compromise.
I hope everyone will come to terms with this uncomfortable fact.

    Unfortunately, peace will not come.
We, the Israeli people wish for peace.
But it’s impossible, they educate their children to hate Jews and that Israel is a the devil.

It is hard for me to see that after 70 years of education against Israel and hatred of the Jews, there will be a leader who will come from the Palestinians who will decide to make peace.

And of course the Palestinian Authority offers salaries for whole life to those who murdered a Jew. The more Jews you kill, the more money you get. How is Israel supposed to make peace with them?

The Palestinians are the newest of all the peoples on earth, and came into being in one day by a kind of supernatural phenomenon that is unique in all of human history. There is no such thing as a Palestinian people, or Palestinian culture, or Palestinian language, or Palestinian history. There has never been a Palestinian state, nor will there be a Palestinian state. There is no Palestinian archaeological find nor a coin. Today's "Palestinians" are an Arab people, with Arab culture, Arabic language and Arab history. They have their own Arab countries from where they arrived in Israel about a hundred years ago to differentiate Jewish immigration, this is the historical truth

Want peace? Remove the eternal and permanent refugee status of Palestinian Arabs and their offspring. Allow them to settle in other countries, and Arab countries need to majority of this. Currently, the refugee status of the Palestinian Arabs has formed it's own industrial complex. UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) has a budget of $806m.

Disband UNRWA and remove refugee status from every "Palestinian" who was not alive during the war of 1967 and the resettlement afterward. No other group gets this treatment. Not the Jews pushed out of North Africa, not Serians, not Slavs, not Germans after WW2, not any other peoples who were displaced get this treatment.

    What does that tell you?

Well what about when the Palestinians(Arabs) and the Israelis(Jewish state for the Jews and others) were living together before under one banner, the shift of trend in peace happened when the ethnic cleansing and illegal occupation of the Palestinian territories took place. Both sides of group have their own idealogies of ruling the current state of Jerusalem. If far-right extremist Jews like Ben gvir promotes killing of innocent Palestinians, who cares what freedom is? both will fight in a deadly cause to a never ending war in conclusion.
