I never expected and was purely shocked that he had both a cheat skill and was able to go to another world. 😛
Accel World has a similar premise with a chubby bullied kid who goes between an "isekai" and the real world. The difference is that AW keeps the fat and chubby form of his real world self and he has to deal with all the insecurities of that.

What I find problematic with the author's work in this series but also Fruits of Evolution is the negativity being attached with being fat. I dislike attitudes changing once he becomes thinner for some characters. Although, I do enjoy the series because I like harem-like stories.

That was my thoughts as well! My theory is that his grandfather isn't just a Sage in the other world. I personally think he's a genuine Otherworlder and not originally from Earth. And the reason why Yuuya can easily go between worlds is because he meets the requirements from a personality standpoint. The last person you'd want having enough power to raze entire civilizations to the ground is someone who isn't kind and humble.
I loved the first episode so much I'm getting the Light Novel.
I do like the idea of the MC freely going back n forth between the two worlds. I like that even with his strength and new look, he still carries that trauma from all those years of bullying instead of getting over it just like that.
That visual novel you’re thinking of sounds like Princess Evangile, but I’m sure a lot of VNs use that same setup. As for the anime, it wasn’t half bad imo

So far I like it, I think he's just an honest and good hearted guy. His grandfather raised him right. Maybe that's why he forgave his little brother and sister as you said. But anyway I'm looking forward to seeing how this story goes. Also love the videos men
