In this series, VICE interviews photographers whose photos have become synonymous with important world events. The photographers relive the story behind the photos, telling their tales from the front line of battlefields and hospitals, and reflecting on their journey to becoming a photographer. We hear how they sought out to document the truth, even risking their lives, to provide proof of events that stay long after the memories fade.

Im from Australia this stuff makes me sick the way they treat their people. 😂
Those countries are so sick i would never have anything to do with it unless i could help those poor people. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Nothing is said of their victims…Seems they are supposed to be the victims of some unseen boogeyman. What a soulless creepy graveyard religion vice has become…
Jail achieves nothing, Duturdte achieved nothing.
This lady plagiarized this story from Jason Motlagh of the Pulitzer Center.
Boring
🧐🐯😡
I had no idea Dutarte sucked so much and that the Philippines was so bad with him in charge.
They’re only two kinds of Filipino;
dancers or fighters
With all due respect to the photographer, your good at your job.but honestly, the Phil law and justice system is not perfect or broken.since the drug war of Ex-Pres DU30 a lot streets were far more safe prior to those previous administration.he just imposed what is good for the majority or the masses.
It's absolutely inhuman and many might be in prison for doing just a petty crime. By putting people in such inhuman conditions I don't think it would end the problem. If its so then we should not have more crime rise in the world at the moment.
theres a saying that goes you do the crime you do the time and they need to do theyre time leave em alone
And people complain about America…..

Incredible. This story matters.
Such a misleading title. Should say. Woman speaking about it all clip
Just don't go to the Madagascar prison! This looks like a resort compared to that place!
Brilliant
What do you mean what does it mean it means she will learn at a age that if you do drugs or do crime you're going to have consequences.. maybe if more children see this the next generation will do less crime
In Switzerland Junkies get government issued heroin..very low crime, very productive society. People will do drugs even at the risk of being killed so why not allow it and users can still work and be productive.
The fact that we get free videos on YouTube by VICE News is truly a gift. 👍👍👍
those photos are spectacular, even when they portray inhumane conditions
The last photos were so amazing. They were all so amazing.
Always watching from Georgetown Guyana south America 🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾
the whale sharks are beautiful, wow
I agree it is bad to affect the Wales natural environment. But I also feel it's better to use them for tourism than to use them for meat… IMHO…
Deuterte is a psychopath
vice literally would rationalize a prison cell for a Serial Baby Rapist as inhumane, and make sap propaganda campaign to raise funds to baby psychopaths and people that need to rot.
9 minutes wasted listening too you cry. If you don't like you're leader by a gun.
My jaw literally dropped at the whale shark photo
A photo is more than just a static frame. It's a story and if you're able to shoot/tell one ,that goes beyond the entity in it. That's a photo in its purest form.
Being able to provide all my needs without the help of the Government is really a dream come through and I’m getting $43,050 returns from my $7k investment
Beautiful work. Must be so hard to just watch, to be a fly on the wall! Quiet enough to not interrupt the surroundings, and capture the authenticity of every little thing around! Those photographs, from the jail, almost look like renaissance paintings! It is so crazy how the contrast is caught, in the photo with the little girl, in the princess tiara. Once in a million shot, there. 8:39
Mad photos!
I’m confused. Wasn’t this uploaded already like a month or 2 ago
