Judgement in the case against Gerhard Ackerman is expected following a postponement on Wednesday when Judge Mahomed Ismail was unwell and postponed the matter to today. Ackerman is accused of raping, sexually exploiting and sex trafficking teenage boys between 2020 and 2021. Ackerman is facing about 740 charges, including rape, human trafficking and possession of child pornography. Ackerman was charged alongside senior advocate Paul Kennedy who committed suicide shortly after his arrest last year.
