Meena was born in Chennai. His father Thurairaj is Tamil. And mother Raja Mallika is a Malayalee from Kannur. Everyone knows that Meena started acting in cinema as a child star. Because I was involved in a lot of shooting. Meena dropped out of school in 8th grade.

Meena, a leading actress from South India, was married in 2009 to Vidyasagar, a Bangalore-based businessman and software engineer. Meena and Vidyasagar have a daughter named Nainika. He was born on January 1, 2011. Nainika made her film debut at the age of 5 as a child star in Vijay starrer Theri.
