Regarding Dr H Campbell. Anthropologist, testimony.
First, let me says that I don't believe there is any excuse to kill a girlfriend or your child. But this Dr's testimony is to provide insight into a Border Patrol Officer's general personality, pressures, affairs, language, etc. The Dr's testified that it is very common for Law Enforcement and/or Border Patrol Officers to have many braggable conquests, called affairs. And in doubg so, these Officers haven't lost their jobs for having affairs. Therefore, this eliminates the excuse to kill because Burgos-Aviles was afraid to loss his job…and maybe that his wife might find out. Again, my opinion is that there is no excuse worthy of Burgos-Aviles actions. But this defense expert, Dr Campbell, is helping the State achieve the death sentence. Comments?
