We are going through adoption from foster care. It didn’t happen fast or easily but all the feelings are the same. We do pray for and ache for his birth family too. God bless your family!

Welcome little baby. Looks like you landed in great hands with many who will love you. This is a good thing for her to not need to be signed over to social services and go directly into your home and not be bounced around. Having the history known from her first days will benefit her self image also. No major questions. She was placed where she was able to be cared for and adopted with a safe and loving family. I’m surprised that you didn’t have to do the standard steps like home study and background checks etc for the safety of the baby but she seems to be super fortunate to land quickly in loving hands.
It must come as a big shock for you guys and time for you and her to bond and adjust. The baby won’t even remember but you will be her memory. She is a perfect size newborn and very pretty. I bet you will be retroactive “preparing” for her arrival. Lol. The scramble to get the baby’s initial needs set up was almost comical and stunning. I used to do temporary emergency foster care and did fast runs and retroactive needs runs for little ones placed in my care. You are loving parents. I am super happy to see that her big brother was so loving towards her. He looked a little bummed when he heard the news of it being a girl baby. He looks like it was big brother love at first sight. Make sure all the visitors wash hands and kids are careful to wash hands before handling her. She’s still so new and needs to build her immune system.

God always blessed with some amazing gifts and a baby is a precious gift. I know I adopted also. A son who is 20years old now and I left the hospital with him right after he was born. He is such a blessing to me and wouldn't ever change my walk with my son. God has blessed me like y'all have been blessed.
