What settings did you use
any lens suggestions? since kids will be moving around, would zoom be a better choice? thanks!

The hardest thing is to track focus (EOS 6D). I shoot my 2yr old son and I can get arround 2-3 minutes shooting time and thats it….

Really nice video. Totally love the approach here. Wasn't sure about the framing where the lads feet were cropped off, I never feel that looks very intentional. Great shots though!

What color paper is used for the background?
Thanks for the video. I usually get about 3 minutes to shoot my grandkids before they lose interest. It's also difficult to keep focus as they are constantly running toward me and the camera. I find it easier to shoot non-family toddlers 🙂

I'd like to do more wildlife (bird feeding & flight) photography but need to upgrade my camera and lenses.
What I have now : Canon T3i – 18-55mm kit lens / 55 – 250mm EF-IS II STM
I love Canon Customer Service, their products and I know them to a large degree so I'd like to stick w/ Canon products. I don't have lots of money and am asking your opinion about the upgrades I've been thinking of.
I thought a refurbished 70D – for the best of both video & stills. It's proven, is an older model so maybe be acquired cheaper, and it auto focuses in video so my 55-250mm STM will still be relevant !
I also find that my 55-250mm lens is kind of weak when trying to capture distant wildlife. What would you suggest in a lens to reach out and touch my subjects ? I thought I might rent an EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens (the older model) to learn what it has to offer.
