I often find myself justifying the time spent working on stock photography. The thought of coming up with something new that will sell great is exhilarating. This never seems to pan out. I sell photos pretty much daily at this point, but barely make anything from it.
I’ve been doing family photography, but am looking to add some social media packages for small businesses. I’ve already surpassed my stock photography earnings with a single-family session. Passive income is a great idea, but at this rate, I’m making like 5 cents an hour.
It’s been a love-hate relationship for sure, but I am seriously considering retiring from the stock photography game.
What are your thoughts on this subject?
