I’m a full-time photographer in the Netherlands and I’m planning on showing you a but more of my life as a photographer. Are you interested in photography? Are you looking for a free-online Photography course? Do you want to see the inside of a Photo Studio? Then please, watch my videos and subscribe to my channel!

I’m planning on sharing videos in which I show you my typical work-week as a photographer. I will give you tips & tricks concerning photography, photo shoots, backdrops, studio props, camera settings (iso, aperture, shutter speed, white balance), photoshoot outfits, photoshoot make-up etc.

Ik zal videos maken over camera instellingen (iso, sluitertijd, diafragma, wit-balans), studio achtergronden, fotoshoot outfits, fotoshoot make-up enz.

IMPORTANT
If you are interested in photographing newborn babies yourself I would highly recommend you to first learn about photography in general. Master you camera, photograph in the Manual mode, learn about aperture, iso, shutter speed, white balance, light and composition. Take photos of your friends (adults or very patient older kids) and make sure you don’t have to think about your camera anymore when photographing babies. Learn about editing as well. Please, don’t experiment photographing Newborn babies without training. Attend a workshop by an experienced and professional photographer with an expertise in Newborn Photography. Learn about the anatomy of babies and invest in good quality cameras, lenses and props. Babies are extremely vulnerable and small and their safety and comfort should be your highest priority. Start with simple poses and make sure you know and understand that many ‘pinterest poses’ are composites. Please, don’t try this at home. If you want beautiful photos of your own Newborn Baby, I highly recommend you to hire a professional and experienced photographer who is trained and specialised in Newborn Photography.

My wife and I love your videos! Personally, I think you have every right to sell your editing secrets if you choose to do so. You are so helpful with your videos, I don't see any harm in charging for editing topics. Many professional photographers charge for presets and the like.

However, may I ask, do you use a tablet for editing in Photoshop? I am planning to register my photography business within the year and am looking to streamline my editing process. I primarily use Lightroom but also use Photoshop for fixing skin blemishes. I've always done it with a mouse and keyboard but I've read good things about tablets and Loupedeck. Just curious if you use either of those systems for your editing?

Thank you again for the wonderful content!

Hi from the USA! I just found your channel a few weeks ago and I love it. Your photography style is just beautiful. I’ve also been been binge watching your videos and I have already learned so much from you. Thank you for sharing and talking about baby safety. It’s so important. I’m so glad you’ve talked about not doing some poses because they baby doesn’t seem comfort or natural. Keep up the good work and keep creating videos so we can watch them and learn from you. Thanks! Hi Fenna, your work is beautiful and thank you so much for all that you are sharing already…if you decided to sell your editing as a package I would totally buy it…I think your style comes more from your interaction with the child and your photo setups, positioning, cropping and the little details you focus on…Even if people were to buy your editing package nobody could completely copy your style and every artists style is individual so that even if someone was to use your edits I feel that the individual photographer would still do their own little tweeks..Keep on rocking it Fenna and thankyou for all your wonderful knowledge and your giving nature…xoxo

I would tend to agree with you. I’m very new to learning about photoshop and what I have learnt is there are no shortcuts to the learning! Sure you can purchase actions to achieve an outcome but you haven’t actually learned how to get that outcome. I think if you are serious about doing your own editing you need to learn fir yourself. I can watch any number of YouTube videos about what photoshop can do and how to do that but it can’t see the picture in my mind! Sometimes you only know what you are picturing when it happens on the screen. So I respect what you are saying.

Dear Fenna, you already sharing so much. As professional, I think you should let them find their own sauce for their pictures. Keep your secret ingredients with you because that is your signature, your own art. Thank you so much for everything you share with us without asking for anything in return. If people respect you, they will understand. Thank you again and God bless you and your family ❤

Sweet Fenna, No matter what you decide to do, you will always have a following of people that will continue to cheer you on and learn from you- you are very much your own person and Artist, and just like Anna Brandt who shares editing tips, and so much of what she does- neither of you could ever be replaced. You are a beacon of light for so many of us that are beginning and you are going to continue on and on and become so much bigger than you ever realized! Keep up all the great work- we all adore you! You gave me so much encouragement to start my own business! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! -Cat from http://www.catherinebishopphotography.com

Love your videos. I can barely contain myself until the next one comes out. As far as your edits go you worked really hard on them so if I were you I'd keep them to myself. It would be fun to see you do a short video of one edit because everyone loves to see how other people edit. Thanks so much for sharing all you do!

Hi Fenna . . . .I know a lot of people have asked about your editing process, and I think you are right in feeling like it is just a bit too much to share your secret. You have already shared so much of your tips and tutorials, I think it is o.k. to have your secret techniques. As photographers we should all respect that and be thankful of everything you have already shared. I admire your work, your studio and your ambitious self. You are my inspiration , keep up the great work ! I love watching you in action , and how you create such beautiful keepsake portraits. I am sure your babies parents are so grateful of the beautiful images you have created for them . You are capturing images that are so precious and will last a life time . Be proud , and don't feel pressured to share everything of your art ! You and your studio are unique . Every photographer should edit in their own style . Thank you for being you !! Hugs Jean

I think you should keep your editing style secret. I also believe we should work to develop our own unique editing styles. It takes some time, but as a new photographer myself I know I will figure out what I like and that will be my own unique signature style. I love that you have shared a lot of information with us already! I love learning about how to pose newborns, where to set up lights, and everything else about photography from you! I love your style and want to learn more, but the editing part I understand not wanting to share and think you should not. But maybe you could show us how to set up an action in photoshop using some generic or settings you don't normally use. Just to show us how to set up our own actions.

Oh my gosh fenna! You are such a lovely and awesome photographer! I started my photography business and it goes slowly but I learn so many things about everything from the lights, the props, the settings, great inspirations. I would never hope that I will be a really good full-time photographer some day, if I didn't find your channel on YouTube.
Every moment I can find some time for myself I'm watching your videos on yt and the pictures at your website.

I think it would be nice if you sell your actions. Not to copy what you are doing. It's the way of seeing what you see and getting better in what I love. I wanna create my own style but it's similarl with drawing a picture. At first you'll try out techniques from other people that are awesome in drawing. You use many of the stuff they use and after a time you'll find your own way of doing it. You'll see the little things that you wanna do another way. You'll try out something new and you'll find your own personality in what you love to do.

It's a way of trying, moving and never give up.

I would buy your actions to see how my pictures could look like if they where edited by my idol. And that's a great feeling. And then I would try out some own actions maybe with some of your steps and some of my own steps to make the picture MY picture.

I love what you do and I love you for being such an awesome person who sharing all these things that show me there is always a way to make beautiful pictures with sometimes such little lovely things. You inspire me every day since I found you on YouTube.

Hope you understand all that I mean. I'm from Germany and I'm much better in listening and understanding English than in writing 😅

No matter what your decision will be you are so much more than only a photographer who shares some settings ect. 😊❤️

Ok, I thought it's the photoshop tutorial. Of course you have right, but as you said, it's like a signature, you can show how you do it, but nobody can copy the same way as you.
With the pictures are different, for example, I don't want to copy paste your style, but maybe I can learn something different from you, or something new, that I can use it in my all days, and you don't need to show you action, it's enough wenn you're showing your workflow in a few videos.
I saw in this video, you're feeling uncomfortable about this theme, it's important what you're sharing it makes you happy, that's why we love you channel.
    Best regards,

I've always been the kind that just moves sliders about to suit my fancy at the time… and then again days later. Doing so is what call my 'Special Sauce'… a.k.a… trial and error. I have a flexible system but do not record my actions for later use (for I have a memory). But I do have the time to do so (for reasons). What I am sort of pointing out is the whole process is the special sauce, for as you say, even after the implementation of an Action you still make adjustments. That being that, if you can make some sales and assist others in getting started, the I say go for it, just do not expect as many sales as you hope for all the positive comments. Put them out there; beyond that it will be what it will be.

In my opinion, you can share the basics like how to clear the skin and smooth it just a general edits for the newborn photo however, your signature style of editing please don't. Or sale it. I truly can recognize your photos without checking the name. I can see that is photo is belong to Fenna because of your editing skills. If your looking to make extra money I feel selling your already action packs would allow to bring extra income. However, I know many of us would be very appreciative on if you can show us how to make our own actions and how to store them from photoshop so that they are easily accessible over and over (example watermarks or lighting action to use on whatever background you decide to show). I would also love to see how you do small touch ups like baby acne and dry skin. Anyways, thank you for all the tips you have shared so far I have watched your videos multiple times each and learned a few things as well as sparked some inspirational ideas from watching your videos.
