what makes me crazy is that not having kids because you Don't Want Kids (or because you aren't confident you could take care of them for whatever reason, etc) is "selfish" but having kids just to have someone to exert total control over and pass your religious ideology onto isn't selfish??? in what world.
way too many of these freaks decide to have kids because they think it's what god wants or whatever, and put zero thought into whether they're actually equipped to raise a human being. or worse, they think that depriving your child of their needs and making them afraid of you is good parenting, because something something the bible. I have never had any interest in having children of my own and this shit still makes me see red.

Also, how about not having children not because it can be emotionally and physically traumatic, because maybe in the future there would be ways to eliminate that, but because the world just can't afford more people as we're literally killing it? how about adopting children instead?

There are more ways of life not essentially “religions” for example canon based buddhism and Tamil way of life.
